IT dependability analysis

Quanopt experts participated in IT dependability analysis project which was an Integrated Project of the Sixth Framework Programme of the European Union under the "Information Society Technologies" priority, strategic objective "Towards a global dependability and security framework". This project envisioned highly autonomic system & service management as three response loops working on different time scales (few seconds, some minutes and some hours) and enacting various reconfigurations to protect system dependability and security. This vision was backed by an architecture hierarchically partitioning systems into self-managing units that utilized explicit structural and behavioural models. Our experts contributed to the project with Error Propagation Analysis methodology and tooling and led the working group defining the metrics that can drive reconfiguration.
