We are happy to be a sponsor of the next meetup on Hyperledger, the main technology for the development of consortial blockchain applications.

Quanopt recently started a joint project together with Prolan Zrt, in which we analyse the failure modes and effects of a newly designed equipment for railway application. We perform analysis to support the final quality of the product and evaluate design alternatives. Quanopt is also working on a software to automate the manual process of the calculation of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety) metrics.

Quanopt has been supporting the Hungarian R community for a while by sponsoring the Budapest Users of R Network (BURN). Our funding members Imre Kocsis and László Gönczy are also PC members of eRum (European R Users Meeting), the second largest R community event after useR, with an estimated 500 participants. This year's eRum will take place at Budapest, 14-16 May 2018.

Qunaopt developed a proof-of-concept tool to support blokchainification of business processes described in the BPMN standard modelling notation. Business users can define their applications which will then be turned into smart contracts over private blockchain.

Quanopt is a cooperation partner for Block Knights 2018 (http://blockchaineum.hu/blockchain-verseny/), the first regional competition for blockchain-based applications, ideas, pilots and pitches.
The Block Knights competition aims at promoting the usage of blockchain technology and encouraging disruptive ideas. Applications should be submitted by 20 February 2018.

Imre Kocsis, the Research Director of Quanopt gave a talk on "Blockchain, as a Cooperation as a Service Platform" at a large blockchain conference, organized by Blockchaineum, the blockchain interest group of Mensa HungarIQa.

Quanopt team won the first prize at the ingatlan.com data visualization challenge of Budapest BI Forum 2016.  

The dataset contained almost 400k advertisements from 2015 and 2016 and around 80k adversitement listeners created by the users.
